Bridge of Sighs | Venice 2014.

A lot of you loved Tigers and poems post, so here's the part II and more of my favorite quotes. Enjoy and don't forget to tell me yours in the comments!
"Others have seen what is and asked why. I have seen what could be and asked why not." - Pablo Picasso

"I like messy people; people who don’t fit in a box or stay between the lines, but whose integrity is greater than any rule book and whose loyalty is stronger than blood." - Jim Wern

"Stars open among the lilies.
Are you not blinded by such expressionless sirens?
This is the silence of astounded souls.” - Sylvia Plath

"Art exists because life is not enough." - Ferreira Gullar

"Be so good they can't ignore you" - Steve Martin

"The sign of a beautiful person is that they always see beauty in others." - Omar Suleiman

"I wish people enjoy poetry as much as hypocrisy. I wish they create art rather than wars. I wish they discuss atoms, aliens, sex, science, music instead of rating each other by ethnicity, religion and nationality. I wish they had a twisted mind who speak with emotion and kindness, not with hate and blindness." - Rim Zeiny

"When i stand before God at the end of my love, i hope that i don't have a single bit of my talent left, and say I used everything you gave me" - Lana Del Rey

"Normality is a paved road; it's comfortable to walk on, but no flowers grow on it" - Vincent Van Gogh

"At fifteen you had the radiance of early morning, at twenty you will begin to have the melancholy brilliance of the moon." - F. Scott Fitzgerald

"But I don’t want comfort. I want God, I want poetry, I want real danger, I want freedom, I want goodness. I want sin" - Aldous Huxley (Brave New World)

"Don't bend; don't water it down; don't try to make it logical; don't edit your own soul according to the fashion. Rather, follow your most intense obsessions mercilessly." - Franz Kafka

"And those who were seen dancing are thought to be insane by those who could not hear the music." - Friedrich Nietzche

"Captivity is cruel even when the cage is invisible" (actually, i said that. I do realize how egoistic is to put it here, but yeah)

"In spite of everything, I still believe people are good at heart" - Anne Frank

"Limits, like fear, are often just an illusion" - Michael Jordan

"Ichi-go ichi-e" (一期一会 "one time, one meeting") is a Japanese four-character idiom (yojijukugo) that describes a cultural concept of treasuring meetings with people. The term is often translated as "for this time only," "never again," or "one chance in a lifetime."

This describes down to a T I don't conform and there is always something a little undone about me but I guess that it is my appeal. I am goofy and not afraid to laugh at myself and do not follow the rules.

  32. This collection of quotes is wonderful. I love reading inspiring quotes from people who have done things with their lives, whether their fame came in life or in death, like Van Gogh. He is, for the record, my favorite. That's my favorite quote of this collection and he is just in general a favorite of mine across the board.

  33. I like a lot this one: ""In spite of everything, I still believe people are good at heart" - Anne Frank". I can relate to it and that's why I get burned every single time... I should trust my guts really, but I always give a change to the wrong people... btw, I like how you illustrated this article with the Ponte dei Suspini picture. :)
